WondrousGems is a private limited company based in the UK. The company was founded by us, Charles and Katharina Bishop, in 2005 as the result of our experiences as parents searching for natural, organic and holistic approaches to pregnancy, birth and parenting.
We specialize in premium quality amber and gemstone jewellery and products that support natural and holistic pregnancy, birth and parenting. We offer jewellery for all ages, children and adults. We only use gem-quality amber in our bestselling amber jewellery collection. Our gemstone jewellery is individually designed and handcrafted.
Our first son, Kiran, was born in 2002 and our second son, Elias, was born in November 2008. Elias's birth was a peaceful, easy and almost entirely pain free home water birth, aided by hypnobirth and self-relaxation techniques. You can read his birth story here: Elias's Birth Story.
At WondrousGems we have a deep respect and appreciation for our beautiful planet and the gifts it has to offer us. We have a personal relationship with all our suppliers and ensure that all our products are ethically sourced and traded.
We have the biggest selection of amber teething necklaces for children on the net. We also have matching amber teething bracelets, as well as matching amber necklace sets for mamas and their little gems. We first discovered amber teething necklaces when our son Kiran had a terrible time with teething. The amber teething necklace proved to be a lifesaver (for both him and us!) and other desperate parents soon asked us where they could get one too... which is how this website came into being!
